Edit(1): I got a little too excited once I got my E3 nor flasher, but didn't know I needed a PS3 JIG/jailbreak utility to continue before using my usb with the updated pup file and enter and exit file.

got my replacement cable ( the one initially had was fried, bought the piece 2nd hand).
Answered my questions, nothing happened. I redid the steps and flashed successfully.
