My... GOD! Reading this thread is painful. To the people that don't get the hate towards TB, there's many reasons. I saw somebody mention that they are not stealing anything as far as code goes, because it's free code... well if it's free code then proper etiquette would be to release source of the changes they made. Sure it might not be required, but in a dev scene that's how it should be and for the most part it is, but that's besides the point since the problem is that the TB dongle is not required, the only thing the TB dongle is good for is DRM. As opposed to the early Teensy hacks which actually needed the hardware to access the ps3. In a sense, they are not "liberating" you, they are simply moving you to a different jail.
I do agree that Greg is a bit... heated, but if I remember correctly 2 times I've taken an optimistic stance towards scene related drama, while he was pretty clear as to how he felt, and both times eventually I've seem he had a point. Due to this, while I do think his responses could be a tad less flamboyant, experience has taught me he probably knows something I/we don't.
Just in case, I personally hate TB; however, as long as a TB user doesn't try to "convert" me then I have no issues with anybody. Some TB users just don't know how they're actually hurting the scene (not that it matters, as the ps3 scene is just an embarrassment), and others just don't really care, and just want to play pirated games, to those all I can say is "MEH!" To be honest, I wish I could just not care enough and just buy a TB and pirate the hell out of the ps3 just to get some revenge against the C*NTS that are sony, but it's much easier for me to simply remain on the sidelines and hope for mutual annihilation of sony and TB.
