Teamx is at the forefront but not the end be all there are other groups out with similar/same solutions keeping prices down. During the initial RGH hack days you had to build out your own "cool runner" and use open source software. TB and JBK accomplish a task and fill a demand. And they will sell for as long as they do. For those that complain about them they are in the right that this software is being hoarded and locked in hardware. The devs are in the right because they can sell it and demand is high. So far, all that has been thrown around is rumors and hearsay about CFW that may never come. Then there are those that are the worst and use this to capitalize on the desperate by promising non-existent solutions. Some Dev's may have crossed over to the Blue side and others may dropped of entirely. Hopefully a few out there can stoke the embers and bring back what once was.

X360 modd is "free" because more than one team has the "source" except iXtreme patch that is allways free.Stolen or not,its not our problem.And the community agrees that they need to buy nand readers,cpu glitchers,cables,drive power tools etc. HEy its the price if you want a modd and thats how it goes. PS3 mod is not free because only one team has the "source". If more teams would have the "source" , it would be free. Thats how the whole world works,its all about the money. Sometimes there comes a guy that cracks/hacks everything and give people free modd. Like PS3 JB. Remember the iPhone SIM UNLOCK? For a very long time we have to use factory unlock or Gevey/rebel sims for sim unlock. They can give the solution free. But hey,its all about the money.
We should be thankfull that there is ANY solution for any mod,just like downgrade to 3.55 and play new games with TB or any other tool. Ok we must pay,i would prefer that is all free,but hey,thats not so expensive if you want full functional PS3. E3 dual boot (if you want online paying) + TB ,you pay once,you get everything. If you dont want to play NOW,just wait,and maybe someday it will be free. Till then,you can choose,pay and play, or wait.
