Oh, Live will be around for a long time. X360 support on Live, that's another thing entirely. I'd be willing to bet money that your 360 will no longer function on live early to mid 2014, about a year after 720 (or whatever they decide to call it) launches. The retail price of a new 360 is going to drop drastically very soon. A 4GB is $199 right now. It will drop to $149 by late summer. $129 by xmas. $99 by next spring, to clear out all remaining stock, and they'll have the gall to sell it alongside the new one. MS may or may not support the Kinect hardware on the next gen. I'd guess they will, technically, but they'll make Kinect2 which is somehow better, and all the new games will only use that.

Don't feel bad though; all those executives and CEOs really do appreciate the drooling masses financing their mansions and toys.
