edit: from what i have looked around and read. once you have 4.11 there is no way to "downgrade" unless you use a flasher....... is that right?

You are correct. You need a hardware flasher to downgrad.

I'm assuming you are on a higher firmware than 3.55, the only method is to use a hardware flasher like the E3 Flasher to downgrade.
