Long rant put in a spoiler so it doesn't take up an entire page

Now, i don't usually post..but i feel the need to get it out of my system. I don't really enjoy seeing news anymore. At least for the PS3 scene. 30% of it is talk, 30% is false promises, 40% is 'getting closer to cracking *insert title here*', and 100% of it is getting your hopes up and waiting for months and months. We get 'closer', but when i say closer, it's like chopping down a tree with a very very very durable toothpick. Bit by bit, the tree gets chopped down, but all we get is tiny tidbits of the tree and they become an entire newspaper. For every little splinter of the big OFW tree we're trying to fell, we get an entire newspage, thread, flame war, dongle hate (which, don't get me wrong, i'm against it too, but it -always- comes to every single thread about news. if anything, i'm against them because of the $|-|1+ they start in threads), 'does this lead to cfw?' noobs, people repeating the same old 'who says the scene is dead?' for 'e-props', people bashing other people, people bashing devs, people bashing, flaming, trolling, all from just a tiny little splinter of a tree. It's not even news once you get past the 'read more'. it's a sea of ignorance and trolls. every single friggin time. Everyone is so friggin hungry for that tree to be chopped down that even the smallest, most trivial (and sometimes big news, but not so much lately) gets thrown to the dogs (yes, i'm referring to us) when we have no idea what the hell it does for us. if you read news about something that you don't understand, but it has the title, phrase, or comment 'CLOSER TO CFW!!!!', you're going to (stupidly) get your hopes up for nothing. I understand any news is good news, but really..almost all of the news is useless to the common man, and so we just spend our time hating on everything. Iunno, i really don't know where the |=|_|(|< i was going with this rant, but really man. We need serious, genuine good news. Not about TB, not about getting closer, we need someone to step forward, say '|=|_|(|< it, here you go', and give us the keys to our destiny, or at the very least our PS3s. I'm tired of living in purgatory.
