Once again I am not against dongles if it ads something to the computer it is used on or connected to. Sadly the TB dongle doesn't ad anything but only functions as an electronic lock for something that is already inside the PS3.
Actually it does add something, it adds the ability to play games that require a higher firmware, something not present within the lower level firmwares due to the keys being changed, so by your own example you can't be against TB because it meets your requirements, yes i know the only thing missing from 3.55 is the >3.55 keys but the fact remains none of the talented devs we have that work on the scene have found these keys, however TB did it they managed to circumvent that issue and are rightfulyl making a profit on them, this effective compares to the modchips for the PS1 and PS2, some of those even used external dongles to play backups of games
