I dont know about AMDs now, but used to be that they ran pretty hot as they were overclocked, meaning you couldnt overclock them much at home. This was quite a few years ago, saw a video showing an amd and an intel cpu running without their heatsink, the intel ran ok, the amd exploded in a couple of seconds.
But you do know that a very decent system will cost you £2000 minimum! (here in the UK)
