Ok, I have an old school
80gb ps3, backwards compatible, I believe it is a
ceche01. Well I received it as a, "if you can fix it you can have it" kind of thing. Well apparently when the
BRD went out, they decided to just toss it.
Don't know why people do the things they do but hey, that is the past and I now need help.
So, how do I get this machine up and running? Can I just
bypass the BRD with a dongle of some sort, and just use this machine as a
media server? Or can I actually use a
different BRD
control board/drive on this machine and
"re-marry" them. Keep in mind,
I don't have a drive or a control board for the machine. And I
cannot boot to a screen, do to
not having the BRD. Someone told me to check this sight out cuz people
know what they are doing here. Open to any suggestions or leads. Buy a new one is not an option, as I already have a functioning one. I just wanna throw this one in the garage.
Oh, and plz. If you have a solution, that requires downloading stuff, could you
plz link the safe downloads in your reply?
