You're going to take a lot of crap on a public forum where the demographic are teenagers and what has kept me going through the BBS->Internet years is take it as humour. Some do it for attention, some do it for fun and some do it for money. No matter your reason you should learn to not really think too much into the negative aspects and focus on the positive.
At least you're doing something for the scene no matter if people agree with it or not. Heck, it's not like you're drawing pictures of vibrators and spamming forums with pointless waste of time pictures - you're doing something!
I can tell you're new at this type of stuff - just don't let it get to your head. It's all about hacking and video games after all! This isn't life or death!
