I have always promoted open information sharing, always. This is the very reason I took over the wiki and re-created a public git repository.
That being said, Sometimes private groups are just plain necessary to get work done. Sometimes they need to keep secrets until they can unlock the full potential of them. Sometimes they just need to filter out the people who are a hindrance, and the people who are of value.
Sometimes, just sometimes, people don't need to spoonfeed you. Everyone already knew the CEX > DEX was possible, Everyone already knew it relied on modification of the EID, Everyone already knew the EID was encrypted with the EID root key. Some people got together and bothered to put some work into figuring it out, and decided to share it with a few others that could make some proper use of it. It angers me to see that people think this is some sort of crime against humanity.
Now you people are angry because someone spoonfed you even more but left it up to you to find the keys? You are angry because he didn't share any keys? The exact same sort of action that got geohot into a legal battle with Sony? Go and get ****ed, you people don't deserve developers as dedicated as the ones in this scene.
Anyone who ever showed any respectable amount of talent was invited, and shown such secrets. Unfortunately when Sony blocks this, Not even the people who have the ability to unlock its full potential can use it.
