On another topic, am I just a hopeless romantic for thinking this is supposed to be fun? Name a piece of equipment and if I've had it, I've been a follower of some scene movement for it, and I've never been expected to pay anything, nor have the devs expected to make it rich. If I want to figure out what parts I need to install a turbo/turbocharger on my car I simply ask and either I'll be told (usually in a snotty way) to search, or I'll be told what I need to know, if I need to unlock my cellphone's bootloader I'm told how to do it, if I need to unlock my sim card, I'm told how to do it, my wii, same thing, my ps2 was the same, my pc, my router, my damn cable box. Don't get me wrong, I believe we should donate or do something for our devs, but that doesn't mean that I think it's ok if devs pimp out their knowledge like some whore.
Every scene that I had follow previously was made for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts... EVERY SINGLE ONE. Pray tell, when did this metamorphosis come to pass?
I don't really blame the entire dev community for this, nor do I blame them for not releasing every single thing, if they in fact are doing it to prevent the 1 mill bricks that half-knowledge will surely bring about (though I sort of agree with

that it is their responsibility, I disagree that they are necessarily idiots though).
If in fact devs withhold knowledge for the reasons many seem to fear, then I think their anger is completely justified, I for one will try not to hold anybody in such contempt for the time being (if I know who is behind drm dongles without a doubt that will change) and I think it's not right for us to let our imaginations run wild with our accusations and our assumptions, or even worst with the generalizations. All devs aren't a$$holes, all non-dev sceneres aren't d*chebags.
