Due to what I quoted you on bellow I will most likely NEVER update to OFW (highly unlikely, but still possible). Worst thing that can happen is my ps3 being off for even more time than it has spent already (sometimes 5 - 6 months).

This is the reason for me not to update to OFW ever. Like you I'm not interested in pirating, not because I think it's illegal, or wrong or some other saintly reason, but because with me it quickly becomes a matter of collecting games instead of playing them. While I'm not planning on pirating games, I most certainly don't plan on giving sony a single cent. I'll buy my games used from mom & pop's stores, maybe ebay, or amazon, and on second thought there is one scenario in which I will definitely pirate, if it's a good game on PSN I will have no way of buying it, so I'll pirate it if possible... and I'll feel no guilt at all.
