Has this been installed before changing anything (like the SFO etc)?

I'm asking because when you install a package, it writes to a file called "metadata_db_hdd" on the internal hd (you can find it in /dev_hdd0/mms/db/) and contains entries for the package's firmware version taken from the SFO.

Copy this over with FTP and open in a hex editor, find the ID (NPUB whatever) and see if there is any 3.XXX ref near it, if so, change it to 3.50/3.55 and then transfer back and reboot your PS3.

It's an old trick used for 3.50 games on 3.41 (before CFW) so it's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, you could always try rebuilding the database.
