So I have solved the return to loader issue, I have recently set priiloader to autoboot USB loader GX, since then resetting a game via Dios Mios will boot you straight back to your backups list.
Albeit not as quick as swapping wii to another wii game, it's still considerably quicker than going through the system menu again.
