Well, you would have had to convince the team to make you a tester (which takes a little more than a smile), since general public can't submit test results to the site.

Yeah, reading from hard drive is obviously faster than optical media. Though, once the content is loaded into memory, the performance doesn't change, it's just load times that get improved.
