here is photo 6.
after a little more research i see that you can remove the rsx/cell heat sheilds. this is what i say under the rsx sheild(note i had already wiped half of it) can i remove the white adhesive? just put enough artic on the rsx chip to hold the heat sheild down?

thinking this is why the fans kick on high? i aslo heard that the fans kick on high during a fan test with the eject held down for a certain amount of time. i am out of artic silver so i figure before wasting more money i would ask. going to reformat hdd to fat 32 and run chkdsk to see if hdd failure but i doubt it.

would like to know what you guys think as this is my first ps3 reapir and thought i knew what i was doing. lol
what else would kick the fans on high and 30 secs later ylod? all i can think of is heat.?.?

dam that was quick. i hit power button, quit 1,2,3,4,5 pow fans on high for a sec, then ylod
