RAM memory. The ps3 has chips that temporary store game data and assets. This is the memory that gets dumped to the coredump.

In case of @harryoke 's dogma dump, the game had assigned 512MB of virtual memory when it crashed. I have the main game/elf dumped from there but can't test since i don't know which version the crash is from.

(I need the original eboot.bin in order to construct the elf64 section headers to even get a proof of concept.)
