I own multiple of both consoles and like them all. I have hacked ps3 and hacked Xbox 360 and official ps3 and official Xbox 360. They all have their own pros and cons. No reason to get all bent out if shape. The Xbox is better for backups and home brew. It is basically the same as the old Xbox with better graphics, from what i hear, so hacking it was pretty damn easy.
