I mean I would. I am not an expert on troubleshooting the e3 linker, or anything, but i work with low voltage everyday. It wouldnt hurt to see what you get. Put it on dc power meter and then put red on the VCc and black on a ground and see what you get. It should be 3.3v or there abouts.

That would tell you if you are getting good power to the flasher. I am assuming this is where it gets power from, since it is the only source for power.

Try this at your own risk, as I have never done this before on ps3. This is jut simple troubleshooting technique.
