. Thanks for the links. I just found a couple guides that teach me how to do it. I am not as lazy as I seem, just a little bit of a worry-wart. I can power the system off by pressing the power button, but when it shuts off it still has no red led. I will try condor .pkg, but I thought you couldn't run .pkg without a bd drive, or I have to use be emu or something like that?

I forgot about that....lol
You should still be able to get into recovery even though there is no standby light.....just listen for the fan to kick off instead of the standby light then press and hold the power again until you hear the beeps for recovery.
