You should not have any problems with Black ops .It has been working forever now i made over 60 packages alone for Black ops & i never jhad one not work yet. If Black ops is not working & giving you Black screen try moving game to internal i don't remember is i said this but where ever you have the game try opposite.
Also make sure if you do have the game on external ,make sure your PS3_GAME folder is not outside of your GAMES/GAMEZ folder it can happen & has happened to me when using external hard drives ,so i use BD Rom reset to fix that when i see the PS3_GAME folder outside of the GAMES/BLES01031/"EMPTY" <- Multiman moves the PS3_GAME folder & sometimes it don't get put back if you quit & shut down the PS3.
I am not sure if that is the case but,i know the patch works so you may want to try running game from DISC if you have the DISC to see what happens. I have to go for now let me know if you get it working you should absolutely not be having this problem with this game.
I am making new BoTz packages for release "All regions" Might be my last contribution for everyone who plays Black ops unless i get DLC working later with 18 BoTz .So i now have Combat Training on patch 1.04 install able over my 113 & reverse 17 BoTz in LAN + Split-screen working . So i get to it & figure out whats wrong , Google the problem your having or ask some people.
I can understand if you have a problem with reactpsn but getting the game to work ? It is encrypted at 341/355 ,it should work 100% like the rest of the patches .
