Difficulties downgrading a CECHC from 4.11

Have used the software from Baileys Ultimate Fool Proof Guide
Are you running CFW?
No (but i'm trying to)
Have you ever downgraded your console with hardware flashers? (Teensy, ProgSkeet, E3 Flasher, etc...)
Trying to with a progskeet
Have you tried searching the forum for someone experiencing the same problem before posting?
Yes
Describe your problem:
Unable to downgrade firmware from 4.11 following Baileys Ultimate Fool Proof Guide
What have you tried to do to resolve this issue yourself:
I am trying to downgrade my Fat PS3 in order to use custom firmware, the tools I have been using are a Progskeet V1.1 (the blue one) a PSgroopic ( self made using a PIC 18F4550) and a PSP with PS3JIB. The software I have used is the set provided in the Baileys guide.
My Progskeet is soldered directly to the NANDs, and I can unbrick my console at will with the dump of my NANDs which presumably suggests that this part of the process is all good.
Once the original firmware has been patched and flashed the PS3 boots up to a black screen as per Baileys description.
I then attempt to put it into factory mode, the PS3JIB shows a sent response followed by 'Done' the PSgroopic has the LED flashing showing that a response has been sent.
I assume that one or other of these devices has worked but there appears to be no way of confirming this.
I then plug in a USB stick (of which I have tried four different types in varying sizes and have used the HP formatter to format them as FAT32) and turn on the PS3 which powers up for a few seconds and then turns off without any beep. The green LED does not flash even if I remove the HDD.
Any thoughts on where I have gone wrong?
Thanks
