I got the paste in today and put everything together.
Here are some pics:

I ran into a problem with the fan control. There isn't any! When I plugged it in and ran it, the fan just went to 100%. I'm pretty sure I spliced the wires correctly. Correct me if this is wrong.
PS3 fan: red = 12v, black = ground, grey = control
3pin PC fan: red = 12v, black = ground, yellow = control.
Is this correct? If so then this controller can't be used to automatically control the fan speeds based on the temp reading. It can be used to run it at full though.
I also had a near disaster. The voltage regulator that runs the fan gets hot. The case probe cord got pinched between it and the power supply and melted. Once it exposed the wire it shorted against the VR and caused an alarm. Then the controller woulden't turn on at all, or the fan. I quickly turned the system off and removed the melted case probe. Luckily, it didn't ruin the controler or the PS3! So now I just have the CPU and VGA readings. After that I reconnected the fan to the motherboard and am just using the probes for monitoring purposes. The fan at 100% is beyond tolerable. I can tell you that the temps with the fan a 100% kept the RSX idle at 46C where as stock the idle is now at 63C. I turned the unit into it's vertical position and it dropped to 59C. But i'm not done with the break in period yet, I expect thoes to drop by tomorrow when the paste has a chance to spread out, cool, and firm up.
