you shouldnt be able to boot into the xmb if you have soldered the tristate point to "smb" it should halt the boot.

but try this.
1 remove the clip
2 replace the clip
3 check the clip is flush
4 remove the conector for the clips flex cable on the actual E3 board
5 replace the above conector to the E3 board

i recomend these as you have moved things during the soldering of the tristate point.

6 fix the clip down (try a quick clamp from local diy store.)
7 boot up the ps3 and try to do a dump of the ps3's NOR
IF YOU CANNOT DO STEP 7 THEN DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RE-FLASH THE PS3'S NOR
8 verify the dump also post it here for us to verify it aswell (put a @ before each of our names so we all can help at this stage)
9 if the above is a no go then you will need the resident E3 god ( @playerkp420 )
