Ok so i have used this tutorial before on probably 5-6 ps3s all downgraded.

I went to do my slim and i got my backup and and checked it no errors anywhere and i did the patch for the bios

When it is done, you will now have a file named bkpps3.patched.bin
Copy bkpps3.patched.bin to your empty sd card and rename to bkpps3.bin
Safely remove sd card from PC and insert into e3 flasher.
Make sure you have nothing plugged in the USB slots.
Put all switches down on flasher.
Press start on flasher, and wait for blue leds to light up 1 by 1. When done lights will alternate flash.
Reboot PS3 from XMB.
On boot you should see "please connect controller screen" (note - If you see a blackscreen instead, you can still continue with next step)

i got to there had all my switches down and did that process took a while and then saw the blue LEDs alternating then held the xmb button on the ps3 controller and shut the system down. put my e3 card reader / downgrader in the right usb port and turned back on and nothing, no flashes from my downgrader no HDD activity LED flashing or WIFI no video no sound. I have never had a issue before i always got the Do not connect controller screen. etc

For some reason i thought there was a part in the downgrading process where you used the downgrade.bin file and have all switches except the 6th switch up to actually downgrade.

but i read over the tutorial at least 10 times and i do not see one step that even mentions the downgrade.bin file
