No. From what I read, they had an idea on how to get the lv0, but they never actually used it.
Anyway, only 3.60+ (NOT 3.56) factory consoles have metldr.2. Since 3.55 (and 3.56) rely on metldr to boot, they cannot possibly boot from metldr.2 since Sony supposedly removed the 3.55 keys from it, considering they don't need it anymore since they moved them to lv0.
As for consoles with metldr.2, if you want to load a modded lv0, what you need is to break the "link" thats just above it - bootldr. It won't be easy. Of course you don't necessarily need to load a modded lv0 and therefore don't necessarily need an exploit for bootldr, an exploit for lv0, lv1 or maybe even lv2 would be enough to run a modded FW, but Sony would fix it in a firmware update. If the exploit is on lv1 or lv2, you most likely cannot downgrade via flasher because of the lv1 hash checks, but if it's in lv0 you can probably downgrade it via flasher, though there may be new unknown checks that may prevent it.
