Most people here play it for the on-line gaming experience.. but i'm not really into that, though it's fun.
To be honest, i never really liked call of duty but i keep giving it a chance.
One of the worst games was voiced by kiefer sutherland, i had such little character interaction in that one, i could not even tell which of my teammates was him.. it was badly designed.
They fixed all that in the original Black Ops.. that one had a really good single player campaign, with an (in my opinion) excellent story. After finally completing the game, i was surprised to see that David S. Goyer (a name i knew from Flashforward tv-series) wrote the story / 'screen play' for it. After
looking him up i noticed that he didn't only do Flashforward, but along with Chris Nolan did the screenplay for Batman Begins..
So yes, treyarch may be using an old beefed up engine, and big-budgets, they make interresting single player campaigns, to say the least.
Goyer wrote the story for COD:BO2 as well, so i'm having high hopes. Multiplayer is just a bonus
Oh and.. COD:MW and MW2/MW3 didn't do much for my story-wise, even though Mw3 was screenwritten by the same guy that did Quantum of Solace, Terminator Salvation and Casino Royale..
