Hardly seems worth it unless you plan on fixing other people's for money. I am assuming you are going to ruin a handful before you figure out the ins and outs of it. For your console, you probably won't succeed being your first time, and then you would have to downgrade it, which takes equipment, which is more money. Just buy a Jailbroke ps3 and save yourself a ton of money if this is what you are trying to accomplish
