Brick problem (original backup gives YLOD error)

Hey guys, having trouble making progress with a PS3 Slim CECH-2003A (DYN-001 mainboard). Using E3 Flasher with E3 Linker soldered.

During downgrade I got to the step where you use a downgrade dongle and press power and eject quickly. This time it didn't work and my downgrade dongle stayed on red light.

I flashed back the original dump to start over and when I started the PS3 there was no video output. I noticed the hard drive activity light was permanently on and discovered the connection between the hard drive dock to E3 flasher had been disturbed somehow during downgrade. Fixing the connections resulted in hard drive activity and YLOD error.

Next I flashed back the patched dump (flash fun mode up and other switches down to keep PS3 on) and the PS3 stays on with all switches down and display message on TV of connect controller. Flashing back original dump gives YLOD again.

Not sure what to try and from what I've read it could be a syscon panic problem? Any advice appreciated
