one more thing.. when trying to go back to 3.55
n rebug toolbox it says im on 4.21 dex. when i attempt to use 999 downgrade it says the data is corrupt. any ideas? ... also i should say. in the main ps3 system information it says firmware is 4.31, i had not enabled qa before installing 4.21 rebug. is there anything i can do to get back to 3.55.

i haven't used rebug yet as I'm to lazy but I will be downgrading and giving it a shot. As for getting back to 3.55 you need to switch back to rex4.21 then downgrade using 999. ie you switched from rebug rex 4.21 to dex 4.21. you can now go up and down dex firmwares at will via xmb. in order to get back to 3.55 cex you need to switch from dex4.21 to rex 4.21 not exactly sure how you achieve this as i haven't used rebug rex yet, but it should be within the toolbox.
