My first impressions of this game after a couple of hours play are that this is quite an improvement over FarCry2. Has a little nostalgic flavour of the first FarCry and I haven't been going through road checkpoints with re-spawning enemies over and over again. So pretty fun start to the game.
Purchased a nice weapon for $925
and have been able to do stealthy kills with it. Sneaking up behind people and R3'ing them also works for the stealth play style.
