Damn wierd though about the Ps3 giving that message with a 3.5 inch drive connected but only on 4.xx firmware (I tested, it's on all 4.xx firmwares, not just rogero)

Thanks for clarifying this for me as I assumed it was something to do with the drive and not firmware related...very interesting that it is though. I wonder if it was something deliberate on Sony's part to include in the newer firmwares or just shoddy code that makes that message come up
And I also had the 3.5 drive as internal as at the time of my hard drive upgrade there was literally only one 2.5" 1TB drive that would fit in the PS3. And I also liked that the heat from the hard drive would not dissipate into the PS3 if it was outside the system
Finally, just to be perfectly clear to anyone else reading my previous post, I'm not criticizing Rogero in any way as I'm very pleased with his cfw.
