Not true. I've almost been shmucked by a speeding bus twice at the same bus stop, at the same time, exactly one week apart. I ALWAYS look both ways multiple times, but for some reason that bus came out of nowhere and the same friend pulled me away at the last second both times.
It's weird but cars do come from out of nowhere.
