the e3 doesnt use the sata
if you hold the E3 up to a strong light you will see the tracks connected to the hdd's sata connector on the E3 go to the esata port on the front of the E3 board.
unplug the E3 from the hdd
does the ps3 turn back on
if no
unplug the connector on the E3 board for the ribbon (going to nor clip)
ps3 should now turn on
