But when I want to boot in ps3 mode (for the dondle to work) it powers off after a couple of seconds.
It looks kinda the same when I bricked my ps3 when flashing with a patched dump failed, but it seems a bit longer and the blue lights lit up for a second.
Is it a problem with the cooler? I dismandled the ps3 over 10 times now, havent renewed the cooling paste
Any other ideas?

It's not the thermal compound. It would not stay on in flash fun mode, if it was.
You need to get the clip seated correctly. Then use flash fun mode to flash your valid backup. Then make a backup in flash fun mode. Compare the 2 dumps with HxD. If they are identical, then the clip is seated correctly.
I already told you this. I didn't tell you to flash the e3 downgrade.bin. so If you are not going to follow my advice, quit asking for it.
