Hey everybody! Long time no post! I took a break from the scene after being forced to sell my CFW Ps3
But I'm here to ask about my PS2...
It is a black slim I bought refurbished (After I broke the old one trying to softmod it...) and I used the 007 exploit to install FMCB to the 8 MB card. Ok, so now I have the ODSYS menu and ESR! I procured 2 games to play: Shadow of the Colossus, and Kingdom Hearts 2.
I burned them onto Memorex DVD+R, after patching them with the ESR patcher GUI. The burn speed was 8x (Since my burner starts at 6X and maxes at 16x). Ok, so I labelled the discs, and put one in (SOTC), and hey presto, it loaded up.
After playing it for a bit I turned the console off. The next time I tried to load it up, it wouldn't read my game. It gave me a "Insert PS2 Media" screen. On the ESR menu it read "Invalid Media" or "Unknown Media". Bummer. I popped in KH2, and it loaded up. At first it played beautifully, but soon, the load times became so much that I would have to do other things for 15 minutes just to get through a loading screen. As of now, it refuses to load KH2 either. On another note, I burned Final Fantasy X, and it worked amazingly! Until my character got stuck in another character and I couldn't move.
Also, ALL my other games work fine. Not a hiccup. I have tried 8 other games (real ones) and they work fine. I feel like I have to get a different DVD type, or what I'm doing currently is trying a usb loader. Any help would be appreciated, I am not a pirate trying to play games for free, it's just hard where I live to find PS2 games in the stores...
