You didn't say that. Of course not. But the other thing you didn't do was take enough time to read and understand the other guy's post. I was using your quote as a good, positive example for what he should be doing instead pal... And it was him who quoted the other thread you were on not me.

Blah blah blah. Same thing here. Most of rest of what you said is pretty irrelevant since you didn't read / too self-absorbed in your own comments. The discussion was about taping the tristate.

Am I? The guy i was responding to here really didn't mention that. It sounded like he had never even opened up his PS3 before.

Well that's YOUR opinion. But like-wise I can think of some pretty compelling reasons why that's an utterly misleading comment though:
1) The skill level required to solder to the flasher device instead of GND is absolutely no different.
2) If you are just a regular noob, you will still benefit heaps from leaving your device connected permanently. Because if you are installing newer CFWs later, there is always a future chance of bricking.
3) If you are a noob and want to use CFW for a while. Great. But some people want to be able to re-flash back to OFW later on. Like if they re-sell their PS3 to someone else. Or to safely get back onto PSN / play games they bought eg BF3, Black Ops 2, etc.
4) Many noobs specifically choose the E3 because it can be permanently installed. Its only the Skeet users who can't leave it attached.
So that's just simply a difference in opinion. Let me take a wild guess - you used a Skeet? Well I didn't.

Oh no. I thought you sounded pretty darn knowledgeable, that was why I quoted your post. I agreed completely with your comments in it.
Didn't win anything pal, except maybe a tiny bit of self-respect. What I really wanted was to help some guy who didn't know any better by teaching him something he didn't already know about these things. Not much of a reason for *****ing about it. You disagree with me? Hey fine. Let's hope you have something else a bit more constructive, or at least technically-oriented to say.

I'm sorry too. But other people should not be censored simply because they didn't start the thread in question, or because *YOU* happen yo be friends / not friends with them, (or for any other reason actually, other than being against the accepted forum guidelines). Jesus Christ pal.
