First off let me say thanks for the very detailed guide on ps3 downgrading it is truly awesome and the best one i have seen.

I am new here and some what new to ps3 modding, i have recently found myself wanting to backup my games and would like to downgrade my firmware.But i found out my ps3 which is the cech-3001a is not down-gradable

So i bought one used for very cheap which is the first gen backwards compatible cecha ..but i had to repair it to get it working and still need to replace the laser in the bd drive but it is working nicely on 4.3 ...So i would like to downgrade it if possible, but i want to use the E3 ...Is there a clip for the E3 that i can use on the nand ? I want to use the dual boot on the E3 and it seems to me to be easier to use then the progseek...If there is no hope to use the E3 on this console i have then i will look for a used slim cech-2000 model...
