That trace has been cut on purpose, the battery holder possibly removed to be able to get at the track to cut it.

So the question is WHY?

I would also therefore hazard a guess that the track (being a supply trace) was cut as part of a fault finding exercise.

Looks like the 'fixer' gave up and passed that PS3 on as is without repairing the things they had done to it.

Pure guesswork of course, but I would not be surprised that upon fixing tracks / replacing battery holder etc. that this PS3 has other h/w issues.
