me worries, like i said, the fw update function because it says you need a fw higher than 4.40 to update press start+select blabla but the ps3 accepts the fw update and its updating to whatever i have in the usb-stick
i think when i install ofw 3.15 this 4.40 **** will still stay there and the previous owner will think hmm.... i think he did something to the FW so the random freezes are his fault because he did sth to the fw... but i know it can only be hardware issue...
thats why i want to downgrade to ofw 3.15 without any clues that i was once on cfw.......

LOOK how on earth is the 4.40 **** gonna stay. The only thing that will be a dead give away is QA flag. So you could disable qa flag and downgrade with a fsm dongle.
