this is a rather simple procedure, that is why i said to Google how it's done.
anyway, to really n00bify it for you.....
1: download the 3.55 PUP file.
2: extract it using WinRAR or similar (if it is compressed as a .zip or .RAR)
3: if named diferently, rename the file to PS3UPDAT.PUP
4: format a flash drive to Fat32
5: create the following folders on the flash drive- PS3
6: open the folder PS3 and create another folder named- UPDATE
7: place the PS3UPDAT.PUP file into the folder named UPDATE on the flash drive
8: Plug flash drive into PS3
9: navigate to System Update in PS3 menu
10: choose to update the System f/w from Flash Drive.
doesnt get any simpler than that.
