Unless windows becomes free I think Linux will take over. Not right away, but it will. And if Linux doesnt then something else will. Slowly but surely, as far as computing goes, software is going to become free and its already happening. Android phones are basically computers these days proper computers and the OS is free. Buy a Macbook pro, the OS is free. Windows is the only OS that people pay for and the only reason they pay for it is because windows is all they know. I know it doesnt seem like it will happen any time soon but Windows is not going to last forever. All we are going to be paying for is hardware eventually.

This is just my opinion from looking at the direction at which computing is headed towards. Also sorry if I sound like a linux fan boy Im not one. I use windows, just not as near as much as I use Linux
