Linux will eventually become th go to OS for power users (I myself use Windows and rarely touch Ubuntu and its Linux equivalents). If Microsoft thinks that everyone wants a Tablet OS hybrid piece of **** for everyday use they're dead wrong. Sure it may seem simplistic but you'll start losing features (ability to browse the file system will change I'm sure) and developers will have to develop to use other APIs like that of the Metro menu.
Non-computer savvy people will love it as it makes everything easy. Anyone who likes to control their PC will HATE it. It doesn't help recruit people into the industry either. Everything will look easy (pretty interface!), and it's far from that.
