But GameGenie always decrypts the save before editing and then it encrypts after but that's done on there side that's why it uploads the encrypted save 1st then downloads the decrypted save after. Then it uploads the decrypted edited save and encrypts it then it downloads your encrypted save I have the dongle and the software. The only thing the dongle is used for is activation but you don't even need that now you can just buy the software from hyperkin and get a activation key. There hex editor is a basic hex editor it's not special. They needed to build there own to sell with there GameGenie that's all. Imagine you buy GameGenie then they tell you go and buy your own hex editor after that too or find one. Every save I look at in there hex editor or any other one I choose at the same time there is no difference at all it's 100% identical as long as you get the decrypted save from the GameGenie folder and open it in the hex editor of your choice. I can prove it to if you would like! I can take a screen capture of any save I open in the GameGenie hex editor and take one from hex workshop and they will be identical.
