Should of had someone with experience do it for you. Would of saved you some money, and a lot of headache.
You will never get those stress filled 2 days back. But hopefully, you will get your PS3 back.
I would say take it apart and start over again. I know you don't want to hear that, but gotta get that clip on correctly.
Or learn how to solder and solder the e3 linker.
My first couple PS3s I had to take apart a ton of times, before getting it right.
