ethernet is better when playing games over a network. you wouldn't know anything about that on an inferior cfw though. the most you can do is try to get back on PSN using some crappy method which will get you banned
i don't see why people would want to get back on PSN anyway, is CFW not better than OFW?

if you have Cobra cfw installed with a cobra usb, try putting an import or burned ps2 game into your bluray drive. It shows up on the XMB.
with other cfws, if they even play ps2 games of course
, you have to go into your backup manager and load it, change settings, or etc. there's none of that nonsense with cobra USB
