Out of interest have you got play testers testing this out already?
I'm interested in seeing how solid a possible CS:style FPS game on PS3 holds up peer-2-peer.
Have you modeled any physics/ballistics into this yet? I am confused if this is an engine/editor or a playable "escape from hell" game.
I used to beta test for a certain games manufacturer back in the day, so could definitely lend a positive critique/hand if you need.

the release will be two things an gameing engine and tools. and then a game made for that engine with those tools. the engine itself bares little resemblence to its origins. the engine is a highly highy modified port of the DooM engine. it will have 3d model support and dynamic lighting and reflections due to its new open GL renderer. orignal DooM engine dose not have that. note this is nothing like doom anymore. the player can crouch jump and look in any direction. with acsi event based scripting languges there will be stealth the player can use enemys wont see you with there backed turned if your sneeking. the same event system will allow players to prorame things in game like when a invisble line is crossed it can trigger events in the maps design lime doors opening or enemys spawning from remote locations. 3d models will have .md3 and .obj frame based animations that can be triggered by these event scriptings. devs can animate bone animations with there own mocaping studio and then convert the bone animations to frame based. everything is lightwaight becuse even tho the graphics and maps look 3d there infact 2d images drawn on screen in such a way they look 3d. the game escape from hell will be very enjoyable for players as i been working on that for longer then the engine itself. but the game can also be used as a exsample for devs with notes in the editor and tutorials and jus a exsample that can be loaded with in the tools so devs cansee whata completed production looks in editor. defaultdnb im gonna take you up on that and see what use i can find for somebody with your exsperince. ill shoot you pms and will see if we cant get you helpin in some way

physics is a hard thing to explain but a good point as the physics system is far diffrent from what most people are use to. on top of that it is a limitied system of physics but suitable and fine and surly will be accepted by all. everything is designated a actor and the actors interact with each other and the world by a system of friction and whaight and placement. best thing i can say is that ill most deff. display system of physics and actors interacting with in the pre release trailer cuz it would take me a long time to explain here in a post from a vita.
