i know this answer may be useless
but did u try before inserting the FSM dongle(assuming u have it correclty loaded with a FSM payload!) after u pull the power cord when it shows on screen "plug controler ......" before putting back the power cord, first insert the dongle in right port, then put back the power cord and trigger FSM, also try a couple times if it fails it might need a real quik power+eject push
