Yeah that method has since been patched. In the US they are giving out free keys until the end of the month and it really was as simple as installing, KMS activate, then use the WMC key and you were perma activated. Seeing as those keys were free in the US there were a lot of pirates that got a free legit activated windows. I still have a few MSDN AA keys left though so I had no need to do it, but that doesn't mean I told a few people about the little screw up
